I build where product, growth, and operations meet

Portrait of Jann Wong

What I build

I launch new product lines, enter new markets, and build the operating organizations needed to sustain them. My work starts while the mandate is still taking shape and continues through launch, growth, and unit economics.

I take on work where product and commercial ownership are closely connected.

How I lead

I stay close to users and engineers. That is where assumptions get tested, tradeoffs become visible, and better decisions are made.

I prefer small, high-output teams with clear ownership. At TourHero, I led 30 people across product, engineering, data, GTM, and content.

As a CliftonStrengths Certified Coach, I design roles around what people do best and build teams with complementary strengths. Bringing structure to ambiguous mandates is a recurring part of my work.

AI in practice

My focus is how AI changes both the product experience and the work inside a team.

At TourHero, AI increased instant itinerary coverage from 10% to 80% and reduced trip-creation time by 60%.

In day-to-day operations, I use AI to shorten research, synthesis, prototyping, and decision cycles while keeping accountability with the people making the decisions.

Languages and markets

I work natively in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and Malay. Working across different markets has taught me to pay attention to context, not just translation.

Outside work

In 2019, I traveled 45,000km overland and by sea from Singapore to London. I went for the adventure.

The experience reinforced a way of working I already valued: expect plans to change, stay observant, and change course when the facts do.

What I am looking for

I am looking to lead a product line end to end, with accountability for product strategy, customer experience, growth, and commercial performance.

That could mean launching a new product line inside an established company or taking an existing product through its next stage of growth at a startup. The strongest fit is a consumer or marketplace business where product and commercial decisions sit together, particularly where AI is becoming part of the product or operating model.
